He started his acting career with a well known TV serial “Nanda Gokula” which was directed by “Ashok Kashyap”, which aired on the “ETV Kannada”. Yash went on to appear in the several other TV serials as like “Malebillu” and “Preeti Illada Mele”. He had a small role in a 2007 film directed by “Priya Hassan” and the movie name is “Jambhada Hudugi”. After then he acted in “Moggina Manasu” directed by “Shashank” in 2008, in which he parted in a supporting role along with his “Nanda Gokula” co-star “Radhika Pandit”. He won the “Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor” for his performance in the films. Then he starred in lead roles in the films like “Rocky” (2008), “Kallara Santhe” (2009), “Gokula” (2009).
